QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

From questions about payment options to the meaning of our five-star rating, your answers are here.

What forms of payment and insurance are accepted?

At Westminster Health & Rehab, we accept Medicare, Medicaid and third-party insurance. It is in-network with most plans such as AARP, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, TriCare for Life, Monumental, Mutual of Omaha, Cigna; out-of-network for Humana and United. For long-term skilled nursing, long-term care insurance and veteran benefits can often be used to supplement costs.

What does the five-star health and rehab rating mean?

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) developed a star-rating system to help consumers, families, and caregivers compare nursing homes more easily. CMS assesses nursing and rehab care based on combined scores in three key categories: health inspections, staffing, and quality measures. In December, 2014, Westminster Village earned a five-star rating—the highest the CMS offers.

Is transportation provided to and from hospitals and doctors appointments?

Yes, and it’s offered free of charge at Westminster Health & Rehab. Residents, patients, and families are invited to contact us anytime to arrange transportation. For scheduled appointments and transfers, [24-hour?] advanced notice is requested whenever possible.

What are the advantages of pre-registering for rehab stays?

Prior to admission, private accommodations can be reserved, paperwork and pre-admission insurance clearance can be completed. If requested, we can even provide in-hospital consultation with clinicians and transportation from the hospital directly to the pre-selected, private accommodations to ensure a seamless transition to rehab. The added convenience, efficiency, and peace of mind can be of significant advantage to patients and families alike.

What services and amenities are offered?

Located on campus at Westminster Village, individuals who take advantage of the Health & Rehab center for in-patient or out-patient rehab or long-term care will have access to all the amenities offered at the larger community plus fully licensed 24-hour staffing for car—if and when it may be needed.
